Director of Commercial Property Claims
Monitor commercial claim assignments from start to finish to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Review claim files submitted to assure quality control within the parameters requested by our clients. Communicate with field adjusters to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Make prompt contact with carrier client policyholders upon receipt of claim assignment.
Review overages and document all communications with policyholders within carrier claim system.
Claim investigation, coverage determination, damage assessment and claim settlement.
Reviews reports and estimates for client specific accuracy within 5 business days of receipt and respond accordingly.
Monitor assigned claims for promptness and communication.
Answers questions regarding coverage and provides guidance to Independent Adjusters on claims handling
Communicate system and reporting updates to field staff and management
Corresponds with policyholders while delivering excellent customer service
Respond to all communications within 5 business days.
Train new staff on client specific reporting guidelines, claims management system and estimating platforms
Oversees claims to completion.
Handle supplemental claims.
Draft reports and prepare requests for authority.
Answers and directs overflow phones calls when necessary
Documentation of all claim activities
Correspond with and negotiate with carriers, adjusters, insured’s, contractors, public adjusters and attorneys.
Audit carrier claim files as to the quality of adjuster claims handling.
Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Positive- maintain a positive attitude especially during busy, stressful periods
Organization-Must be able to effectively review claim assignments from several different insurance carriers with client specific reporting requirements
Flexibility-Open to suggestions and feedback, adaptable
Critical Evaluation/Thinking- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Time Management- Managing one's own time and the time of others.
This position has no ongoing supervisory responsibilities. In the event of a catastrophic claim event, this role may be responsible for managing a team based on our client contractual agreements.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. This position is set up to be a remote position. Candidates should reside in one of these states: FL, TX, NY, GA, SC, NC, LA, NE
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. however some weekend work may be required.
Travel for catastrophe work may be required. Minimal Travel is also required for occasional training and company events.
Required Education and Experience
Adjuster’s License and ability to obtain reciprocal licensing where required for the business and approved by the state.
3-5 years of prior commercial first party property claims experience
Strong understanding of and experience reviewing insurance policies and procedures
Proficient in Xactimate
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred but experience may substitute
FileTrac Claims Management System Experience
Symbility Estimating Platform Experience
Experience using Imageright claims system
